Standard cellulose acetate granules: Standard cellulose acetate granules with DEP plasticizer from fossil sources represent the traditional product that has been used for decades in the eyewear, tooling and fashion accessory industries. Easily processed through injection molding and extrusion, they have a sustainability content ranging from 41% to 65%. →
M49 granules based on cellulose acetate and a bio-based plasticizer: M49 is Mazzucchelli’s patented formulation that retains all the physical–mechanical properties as well as the transparency and colorability of cellulose acetate, while using a renewable-source plasticizer. This increases the material’s sustainability content to between 67% and 95% and makes the product biodegradable. →
